Governments are moving from speeches to statutes on artificial intelligence. New rules in the European Union, U.S. executive actions, and guidance from standards bodies are converging on one idea: make AI safer without shutting down innovation. Companies now face clearer expectations, and users may soon see stronger safeguards. The path will not be simple. It is, however, taking form.

A fast-moving policy map
